About Us
Assalamu Alaikum (Peace Be Upon You). Our Masjid community is a beautiful mosaic of people from all walks of life and, as such, we embrace new Muslims and are pleased to welcome you to our community.
We are aware, understand and share the hardships of new Muslims and other Muslims with Arabic language limitations. New Muslims (and many not so new Muslims) need special attention in their quest for the understanding of the Islamic principles. Our community is welling to offer an Islam101 class in English for new Muslims and anyone who wants to learn more about Islam. The focus of the class will be on the understanding and application of Allah’s Revelations and the Sunna (ways) of our Prophet, may peace and blessings be upon him. Efforts are also focused to meet the personal needs of individuals. We offer Arabic Language Instruction for those wishing to learn to read, understand and converse in Arabic and, as well, offer English as a Second Language Instructions. These classes are taught by bilingual instructors. Also, the Khutba (Reminder) during Friday Prayers are offered both in Arabic and English.
In accordance Islam, our community emphasizes respect towards the plurality of faith, culture, ethnicity and to preserve peace and justice for all of humanity.
Mission
The Mission of Masjid Al Hedayah is:
(1) to provide a secure and comfortable facility where Believers may gather for the worship of the one and only God ALLAH regardless of race, nationality, ethnicity, gender or age; and
(2) to serve and to interact with the Muslim and Non-Muslim communities-at-large in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Quran and with the Sunna (way of life) of the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Vision
Our Vision is to Define and Convey a clear perception and understanding of the Islamic teachings to Muslims and Non-Muslims. We aim to inspire an appreciation of Islamic values by educating the community about the religion and its principles, and by demonstrating their effectiveness in today’s world. Our spiritual vision is to pursue faith, knowledge, justice, freedom, purpose, and righteousness in a peaceful and caring environment.
